Colonial cathedral in Cordoba

I apologise, I am absolutely terrible at keeping this thing updated. I did think however that it didn’t matter too much as only my Dad ever read it, but apparently my adoring fans have been asking after me so I will endeavor to catch you up on our progress. And if you are reading along please leave us some comments on the blog.

It has been over a month (alright nearly two) since I last wrote so I hope you won’t mind if I give you a bit of a summarised update now – althogu a bit less sumarised than the last entry.

After leaving Mendoza we spent a few days in Cordoba, a nice University town which I really quite liked once I had got over the shock of leaving my comfort zone in Mendoza. Spent far too long visiting Jesuit monasteries though. I honestly don’t know how the Lonely Planet can big them up some much, they really are quite dull, all the same and filled with mosquitoes. We went to one place because it sounded remote and oldie worldly, with gauchos riding past. Remote is the word, 45 minutes down a dirt track to NOTHING! But I dutifully took photos all the same. But Cordoba was a nice place to hang out and we took a McDonalds sponsored old English bus city tour which was an entertaining afternoon. It was lovely and warm there too, something which I am retrospectively appreciating from chilly Patagonia!!
