In Oxford now.

So, things didnt go exactly as planned, but I am really enjoying myself. I left copenhagen on the 23'd and now I am in Oxford at a backpackers hostel and the music for the pool tournament is so loud it is shaking the computer screen. Like I said, Im having a good time. I think its south africa vs australia and maybe spain. I heard some people chanting in spanish. But lets get into what has happened in the last few days...

I locked my things away in the computerized lockers at Copenhagen train station and had lunch and then decided to catch a movie with the couple of hours before my train. I had walked around the city the day before and was totally exhausted. About 15 minutes into the movie, the screen totally cut out and the lights went out and some guy came in to tell us that the power in southern sweden and all of Zealand had been cut. They didnt know why. No problem. I headed back to the train station and all the trains were stopped. Thats ok, I'll just take a bus. Two hours later I got my stuff out of the locker. The power was still off, but at least I had my stuff and I got the bus. I sat beside a nice guy from Germany who worked in copenhagen, but lived in southern sweden becuase it was cheaper to commute...
I waited for an hour in the check in line, and then two hours later, my flight left. I looked for coryna at the stanstead airport, but she didnt appear, so I just went to Jackie's house and had a great dinner. I checked my email there and Coryna had left me a quick note saying that she went to Africa with some people she met at a hostel in spain...she is in Marakesh right now I believe. I spent another night at Jackie's and Dave, her boyfriend made a really really nice curry with coconut. very good food. So I came to Oxford today becuase I really wasnt interested in going into london again. Like, Ever again. And I just got an email from a hostel in Inverness and I have a job there as soon as I can get there. So I think I will go tomorrow or the next day. This hostel is hoppin' and I am having a great time, so it will be a change to be in the solitude of Inverness. But I am excited. so thats my update. Coryna is going to come to the UK on Oct. 6 or something, but I think she will be staying in London with one of the guys she is in Morocco with. Now, on with the pool tournament...

You are in Oxford. I hate you. lol
Don't forget to go to Christ Church and see the quad and everything. That is my happy place. Oh, I am unbelievably jealous. Time to back to my drab little corner of the library to study.

One more thing. I agree with Dana, you must go see Bob and the Waifs. They are like my favorite band now. Well, one of them. And its so nice to read everybody's comments, especially the ones from you grandparents and your mother. Yes, you must eat Liz. And stay away from those "good boys". They're all scoundrels. The Scots are the only good ones. I would like one for Christmas please.

Hey this is my second try at posting a message here. Sorry about the change in your travel plans but you may have never had that great curry otherwise.
Rankin has a new Rebus out -"Question of Blood" speaking of Scottish men.
Beware Nessie!
