Farmers Market

I was just walking into town today to come to the library and the high street is lined with booths. Apparently its the highland farmer's market for the next few days. Its really neat. Its only about four in the afternoon and its already starting to get dark, and there are all these strings of lights up between the street lamps and loads of people wandering around buying vegetables, or homemade soap or other farmer things.

I will go back and browse on my way home I think.
I have 4 days off after christmas because I am working over christmas, so I think I might go to Ireland for New Years eve. I was going to try to go to spain, or somewhere hot, but aparently everyone had that idea and the flights are really expensive, even with the trusty old cheap airlines. I could go to venice for a decent price, but I havent gotten my act together yet and actually booked anything.
I got a video rental membership the other night. I astounded my fellow hostel friends when I showed them. The girl who was working was a couple bricks short of a load, and instead of 'two letters with your name and address and photo ID' I showed here my bank statement and a pay stub. Neither had my address on it, but I kept saying 'I work where I live' and asking her questions about the movie that was on. I think she just wanted to get rid of me, so she gave me a membership. Hurray!
well, thats enough excitement for one entry...

HI Liz, gosh I miss you and I really wish I could be over there with you and Corona. :) So a french restaurant, eh? Sexy. Do you have to dress all frou-frou and flirt with the patrons?? lol Kidding. It's miserable weather here, it tried to snow, and now its warmer, but it's going to be freezing again tomorrow I'm sure. I have a polisci paper due monday that I haven't started. I get to go home for Christmas on the 15th of December. I'm actually finished on the 12th, but couldn't get a flight home sooner. Oh well. Take care and tell us how the toes are. :) Love ya!

Hi Liz, In your blog on the 4th, you said you were interested in getting involved in a humanitarian aid project. That sounds really interesting. Have you been looking at a specfic area or country?
Take care, watch out for rogue haggis.

sooo, I am finally being a good friend and writing you a little note. i hope you can forgive me. so dana and I were chatting about Christmas eve and we are both supremely sad that you won't be home for it. But now you are a fancy world traveler, and far too worldly for the likes of us. We will miss you muchly, shazam just isn't the same when a part is missing.
