Blizzards

So I was planning on going to Glasgow for my days off, but then it snowed! We have had a small blizzard yesterday and so I stayed home to enjoy it rather than going south to freezing rain and slush. Last night we (me and the other girls at the hostel) made snow angels outside. How picturesque. The snow was melting quite a bit this morning however, so the angels dont look so great today.

Coryna and I decided to do something touristy and we went to the local museum. It was tiny and had a lot of stuffed animals in fake nature scenes, but also had some very neat old stones with *pictish (I think) symbols on them. Some of the stones were about the same height as me and had intricate carvings of celtic animals and crosses on them, and there were others with very simple symbols on them. They were all from various highland places nearby. Then we saw a few old photos of inverness before we hiked out to Faery hill, the massive graveyard. We really had to hike up the hill, but we got a good view of the city from the top. After a quick look at the canal, we headed home and had a nice cup of tea. SO all in all, it was a good day. Today I was .... CLEANING! what a surprise. all the windows are done now...
Ok, no more talk about cleaning. for now.
more later,
Liz
