Mid week madness.

I had an interesting day yesterday. I went grocery shopping with coryna yesterday after her first shift at Delices de Bretagne, the French restaurant she got a job at...

Then we wandered into the body shop and one of the girls working there asked me if I was on holiday. I said no, and she continued with 'Oh, but you must be foreign, you look foreign'. Ok. I asked why and she said that it was my glasses. Apparently foreign people wear these glasses. (I wear black plastic frames). So I said I was from Canada and she just about cried. Fifteen minutes later, I slowly backed out of the shop, promising to come back. Julie LOVES Canada. So I have made a friend based solely on the fact that I am from Canada and she wants to emigrate there one day.
Then when I got home, I had an unpleasant surprise. I noticed that my toes were kind of sore, so I took off my shoes and they had almost rubbed all of my big toenails off. I guess they werent quite broken in yet and the rough leather has been rubbing for the last week (I havent been wearing socks...) and so now my toenails are paper thin. Its quite painful and very strange. so I have bandaids on them and socks.
other than that, not too much else has happened. I have my bank account, but no card yet, so I am just waiting for that to come. On Monday I am off to Edinburgh to visit my parents. I am glad for the 3 1/2 bus ride rather than a 5 hour train trip.
Ok. Bye!
