I got back from edinburgh and had a good visit with my parents. Now here I am in Inverness back at work and its HALLOWEEN! Apparently most of the kids that trick or treat here do little performances on the doorsteps before they get any candy. I hope we get a few trick or treaters, but apparently, they dont come to the hostel. Oh well. I saw part of the Ring (the japanese one) on channel 4 last night, but I had to stop watching it becuase it was really scary. There was also a storm outside and the wind was howling around my window.

My mom and dad brought me my guitar, so I have been practicing again. Im very glad to have it. And they also brought me a can of pumpkin. I made three pumpkin pies and have been forcing pieces on my co-workers. A few of them really liked it, one refused, and two looked like they were gritting their teeth while eating it. A few guests have tried it as well, most people were just horrified that I would even use the words pumpkin and pie in the same sentence.
It was nice to be back in Edinburgh and really nice to see my parents. We had a quick 24 hour visit and then we were gone. We stayed at The Point hotel, which was incredibly trendy and had lots of weird lighting. The hall looked a bit like something out of the original star treks. The beds were insanely comfy and the room was huge, so I had a good nights sleep. I visited Gerry's sandwich bar, where I used to work and caught up with my old boss. My parents and I went there for lunch as well.
The bus ride back from Edinburgh was interesting. The driver kept jamming the gears and had trouble starting the bus once it stopped and there was the token old drunk at the back who drank non stop the entire journey and tried to smoke despite the non smoking signs plastered EVERYWHERE. He always seemed surprised when the bus driver told him to stop and insisted on holding a conversation with some poor woman.
My toenails are growing back, which is really nice. What else? Someone stole pillow cases off the beds in a room last night. tsk tsk. ok, obviously I am running out of interesting things to say, so I will leave it at that.
