Dodgy Phone Shop

Alright. I have a phone number now! Hooray! Well, I dont have much to say except that I finally got my phone working and its interesting to note how the hole thing came about...

I went to Vodafone Uk AGAIN to see if they could 'unlock' my phone and get me on the UK network, but AGAIN they couldnt. So I asked the woman where I could go to get it sorted out. She started talking in a low voice:
Woman: Do you know where the back entrance to woolworths is?
Me: Yes. (I actually did)
W: There's a little shop there. The window is full of flashing lights. Its new and the owner unlocks phones for a fee.
M: Ok thanks.
So, I found the little alleyway that leads to the back entrance of Woolworths and found the shop. It was about as big as someone's closet and was floor to ceiling phone accesories. The owner was a dark haired man with a thick accent.
Me: Can you unlock my phone?
Owner: Yes, I charge £10. Who told you about this place?
M: The Vodafone shop.
O: (Laughs) I see. They told you to come here?
M: Yes.
O: alright. I'll sell you a SIM card too? How much does Vodafone charge? I charge less.
M: Sounds good to me
And so now I have a working phone. Get ready for some phone calls. Or not.
I will write again soon.

Yeehaw. Tensions are running high all over the place it seems.. My neighbors upstairs had a party until 2 and I went up to midnight to tell them to shut up. I was so mad, I don't think anyone at home has ever seen me that mad ( I had an 8:00am class). I finally called the on-duty RA's at 2 and things quieted down. But then I slept through Biology. :( Sorry to vent on your board Liz. Tell me how you liked Oxford. How is the weather there? I will try to call you when I get a phone card. I miss you! Do you know where Strathclyde's University is?? Something by that name? It's in Scotland, and I might be doing an exchange there through Co-op. Woohoo! Ok, tata/ Love from Moi
