Nambucca Heads - Brisbane

Waking up in Nambucca Heads was blissfull - the road workers had left before us and we had the whole motel to ourselves to have a nice chilled out breakfast on the balcony before packing TC up and heading off for Brisbane.

With a lot of K's behind us, we set off early to try to make it to Brisbane before dark so we could find a place to stay and figure out where the wedding was to be held. There was no way we were gonna be the last ones there the next day :o)
We loaded up TC and got ready for another day in the car. Both of us now had "car tans" ie one arm brown (well more pink than brown) from having them hanging out the window, and despite our best efforts, there was no way we could sit comfortably with the opposite arm hanging out the window. Krys is used to driving in Canada where she drives and automatic, so she didn't really want to be driving a manual for the first time on the "wrong" side of the road - and I can't say that I blames her - so we had no way to get the other arms brown to match - hey ho - such dilemas.
Stopping off for lunch in Sugartown, we got to smell the sugar a few Ks before we arrived... By the time we had finished with lunch though, the smell had dissapeared, but the towncar smelled a bit like syrup for a while...

Got to tell you though - its HOT out here - getting bit burned the both of us!

We arrived in Brisbane pretty early with loads of daytime left to find a place to stop for the night. After trying a few places we were given some very vague directions to a place that might be within the budget - so off we went...
We couldn't find it for love nor money, and no-one we asked had heard of it, so back into TC and we followed a random white car to a place called Kangaroo Point. The white car dissapeared and hey presto - we were on a road full of motels - hurrah! We soon priced them up and found one we could just about stretch to.
I sent Amy a text to say we had arrived and to ask again for the address for the wedding. She rang me back and - coincidence - she lived 2 streets away and her entire family were staying on our street. she came round to ours (remember - this is the night before her wedding) and spent an hour or so so getting to know Krys and catching up with me before giving us a map and excellent directions on how to get to the wedding... hurrah!
