The Easter Show

After missing out on it last year due to work, this year I was looking forward to seeing the spectacular that is the Easter Show. The advertising told me that I would never see anything like it in my life - so off I went...

and they were right - never before have I seen birds like these before.
As it was Easter, it would be rude not to hold a chick, but maybe the chick didn't want to be held, as it gave back a pressie of it's own - lovely!
In the highly competative world of modeling, a bird has got to look her best at all times - shake those tail feathers sweetie :oP
The pigs were adorable (if a little on the pongy side) and the pigs that were racing (yes, racing pigs) were faster than a speeding bullet - and this was the best shot I got of them: streaky bacon.
The dog trials were to show city folks how they do it in the big city - it was too interesting to take that many pics, so the ones I did get weren't too fab: View image.
Along the nature theme, they had a food hall that involved images made out of food including pulses and fruits and veg. Check out the winning pictures, and remember - they are entirely made from edibles...

They also had all mannor of animal shows - from cows through to cats and dogs... check out this poor creature - you'd refuse to pay the hairdresser, that's for sure....
Keeping in the spirit of novel things I'd never seen before, there was a wood chopping competition. Check this out for sweaty men being grrrr manly:

And to round off the day, a display from Yamaha riders. All in all, I have to say they were right - I never had seen anything like it before, and it was fab.
Hope you had as good an Easter as I did :o)
