134 metres above sea level

at the top of the arch of the Sydney Harbour Bridge...

The bridge climb on Sydney's Harbour Bridge is one of the most deeply expensive touristy things to do, and as such I've avoided it rather well till D got out here.
Both of us scorned it due to being skint, but she decided to treat us both to something memorable, and off we went.
I have to say - it was fantastic! If you can afford it, I recommend it - even if they do make you wear daggy (fab aussie word of the week) outfits for the climb itself.
It takes 3 and a half hours to do the whole thing (in the training they make you climb a section of bridge in the visitor centre bit before they let you onto the real thing - bizarre) but it's worth every cent and minute when you get to the top and see the views. Our guide gave us heaps of info - here are some facts and figures for yourself to see how much of an engineering feat it was to build

You can't take a camera up there, so unfortunately the only views you get to look at are the ones of me and D posing like fools - ner ner ne ner ner!
both of us, Dawn, me, me (yes again!) at the halfway point making a wishwhile crossing the tip of the bridge, and finally both of us together
half way back down the bridge again.

PS: it's not your eyes deceiving you - D is actually brown :oP hurrah!
