Australia Day

Australia Day celebrations were happening all over Sydney, and as it's a public holiday I had the day off to go and check out what was happening.

Unfortunatly I didn't have my camera - so you're gonna have to use your imagination for this lot...

There was lots to see and do around the harbour - there was a big country music festival (cue lots of people dressed up as cowboys/girls), there was lots of stuff on the harbour itself - ferry races, boats all dressed up parading about etc - very pretty, there was a big vintage car show at Hyde Park and generally lots of stalls and street performers. We visited parliamentary house and also the art gallery of NSW (which you'll have seen pics of before) so all in all it was a pretty fab day of mooching about and lots of food and beer.

The evening was spent in the pub (it would have been rude not to!) and I managed to get my camera for some shots of us with the sparklers me and Dawn forgot to use for New Years.

We totally missed the fireworks they had off the harbour bridge though as the pub we were in was facing the wrong direction - doh!
