last day in tass

well, after spending the long weekend sampling the local beers, it was only fair to go see where they were made.

Unfortunately for us, the only tour we could get on was the one that started at 9am. We had to get up at stupid o'clock in the morning to drive back to Hobart, and the home of the Cascade Brewary. As it was to be taste testing at the end of the day, I did the driving and sampled the soft drinks they make there instead (such a martyer!)
Anyhow - this is the building itself, and here are some of the barley being moved about for the brewing process View image. The rest of the tour wasn't really picturesque, but if you get a chance to sample some of the beer they make then go for it - the Summer Blonde is the nicest I've had over here... mmmmm *drool* oh happy days!

Anyway - after the brewery, it was a mad dash to the airport which got us there approx 15mins before boarding the plane, and then a short hop skip and a jomp back to Sydney.

It was a fab weekend, and I would love to go back and maybe spend a bit more time there - highly recommended :o)
