I am totally incapable of just going for that one drink. It always ends up as more than one, and I just bring everyone else down with me.

After working (another) Saturday - me, Eimhear and Charlotte decided to have a swift "one" after work... we finished at 5pm and had pretty much decided to go home when it got to about 11.30pm... not quite the one drink I had in mind...

Still - when I got back I was supposed to carry on drinking, as a mate of mine Adam is leaving Oz to go to Thailand for a month before heading back home and get a proper job and everything... but as he had no credit on his phone, he couldn't tell me where he was to carry on with the drinking, so i got a lucky reprieve (I'd have only embarrased myself if I'd carried on drinking)

Typically - I woke up bright and early this morning with a Burger King fixation (or Hungry Jacks as its called over here) so had a deeply unhealthy breakfast sitting on the roof slowly going even more lobster red than I was last weekend!
After about 4 or five hours, Ad came up to tell me that my mobile was going mental and a note for me was under the door...

Reading the note, I suddenly remembered that a mate of mine from home was landing in Sydney that morning, and apparently she'd been texting and knocking on my door trying to get hold of me - eventually resorting to sending me a note. Doh!

So I have now spent the entire day sitting on the roof catching up with Vic and hearing about her travels with her mate Vickie on the way here... luckily i remembered to book them their hotel room in advance, or they'd have been homeless.

Am now lobster red. Again. When I got to the internet place they had to turn up the air con to accomodate the heat i'm radiating :oD

So - anyway - am off for a curry and ONE beer... One day weekends are SO short - back in work tomorrow, and I didn't even find the time to shop this weekend - what's the world coming to?
