Labour Day

Ok everyone - I realise it's been a bit slack recently, but I've finally managed to get the blog up to date! Hurrah! It's Labour Day weekend here - and for the first time since arriving on these fair shores, I'm not actually working the bank holiday!

National holidays rock! I worked Saturday to be able to afford to have Monday off (aren't I a good little saver?) Don't think too highly of me - me and Eimhear spent the 5 hours after work propping up the bar :oD
I'm determined to save as much as I can for when my bestest mate in the whole wide world (literally) comes out here for a month! yippee! Just you wait till you see a piccy of her - she's a babe and I promise there will be thrills galore for the boys when I get to the bikini edition of the blog :oD
So with a whole 2 days off work, I decided to sunbathe on the roof for the morning, then do all the blogging I haven't gotten around to (4 hours on the internet) and then spent the afternoon round at Nat's watching chick-flicks to gladden the heart.
Continuing the theme of having a right girlie weekend, I spend Monday morning in Bondi Junction shopping, and then met up with Eimhear in the afternoon for a bit more shopping and a trip to the piccies to watch Wimbledon - another chick flick - the soul needs a little romance every now and again!
We did the girlie thing in style and I managed to satisfy my shopping, coffee and cheesecake cravings all in one day - and I only spend $70, not bad for me!
I'm sure there were all kinds of things going on for the bank holiday, but can safely say that I didn't see a thing. (esp. after 5 hrs in the pub!) Cultural, eh?
