June 08, 2004Venus envy
A lovely, sunny day inspired me to head back out to Glenelg and spend the day by the beach. As the tram pulled up, i noticed a bit of a gathering on the grass over by the town hall. Being of a curious nature, I wandered over and lo and behold saw a sign :o). Supplying technical information, a telescope and the board to view the eclipse on was a local enthusiast. Apparently this happens about every 80 years or so, so I joined the other spectators So here it is: Venus in transit. Small, but perfectly formed :oP (Venus is the blob at the top left by the way) Don't say I never show you anything educational! Comments
