surfer pics as promised

I took a bit of a wander to Bondi on Eater Saturday (the first day I've had off in a while) figuring a nice bit of eye candy would make the working week a forgotten blur...

Unfortunately due to being a lazy swine, I didn't make it out to Bondi until after 4pm, so I guess most of the hunky ones had left for the day... unwilling to head all the way out there just to turn back to Kings Cross to fetch a few more layers and still wanting to have a bit of a dip - I rolled up my jeans (yes - I am *that* classy!) and waded for a while in the freezing water. I'm not being a drama queen either - I swear it took me back to being forced to swim in the North Sea as a child - my toes went blue!

Anyhow - some hardy souls were still splashing about so the photos are here...
Bondi Beach, surfers, more surfers, again with the surfing this times its a whole school of surfers!

I love the directness of the aussies and their ads, check this out.

It's not the seaside without the seagulls. And as I got there so late, I managed to get the start of the sunset.

Just occured to me that you don't know anything about Kings Cross (the area I am working and living) it's nice - will have to take a load of pics, just being doing the tourist thing of late... this is the fountain - nice eh?

Am heading off to Coogee beach next - as it's supposed to be loads better... Bondi is a bit of a dissapointment - maybe its because it wasn't hot and sunny, but it reminded me a bit of Blackpool but with clean water... I promise to make sure i get to Coogee early enough to scout out the cute surfers and get photos so you have something to use as backdrops for the day!

By the way - I can't comprehend why the largest Island in the world (and the smallest continent) can have so many fantastic things (including the most flattering clothes sizes) but they have completly failed to grasp the importance, nay necessity, of good mayonaise... I just don't get it.. How can they live without it? Please - if you have my address, mail me some - I'm desperate here - it's been hell without it and I've finally reached breaking point - I'm begging now... Hear my plea and send me a care package - it doesn't have to be much - just a sachet, anything.... :oS

ooooh - and a bit of gossip for you star-struck types - I saw whatshisface - Russell "Gladiator" Crowe's house... it's just down the road from me, so there!

Hey, I was wondering whether you are drowning in corporate wasteland. Glad to see you resurface. Hope Coogee was nice. India is now HOT, glad you are now in freezing climes!!!

Hiya Novice

You got a better day than us in Bondi, it was raining and cold when we visited. Mayonnaise! I was warned on Bootsnall about this dilemma, and have had to change to Heinz Salad Cream, not the same though!

The best of Aussie mayonnaise is Praise, but I don't know how it compares with what you know.

Cheers Chris, will have to give it a shot.
Snazzy - salad cream is no substitute :o(

I'm gonna waste away without Helman's.. (ok, so that's not true, but I do miss it!)

Dusty - heard it's pretty hot out there - sending you thoughts of cool breezes across the internet!

Praise is NOT Mayonaise

It never was and never will be. It IS some horrific mayo / salad cream hybrid with sugar. Its just so very wrong!

There's heaps of English shops in Sydney, you'll be right if you head there!
