Going underground

Broken by the Flinders, we left as fast as we could manage....

Which wasn't particularly fast as we got a blowout in the middle of nowhere. Being fairly practical types, the tyre was changed with a minimum of whinging and broken nails. Luckily for us, we were not too far away from our next port of call and were slowly getting used to 40+ degree weather.
Not too long after our own blowout, a car of Austrian backpackers got a blowout infront of us, so we stopped to help them out as well. It's a bit of a novelty to actually pass another car out here, our game of 'eye spy' lasted for 20 minutes - most of them focused on what we could see within TC. Not that we got bored or anything.... :oP

Cooper Pedy is a fab place - we bought new tyres from Bulls and checked into this hostel that gave us our very own underground lair for the night. We actually slept in a mine shaft - not very often you can say that huh? Cooper has loads of places underground as it gets so hot in the summer.
Tourists flock there to sleep underground, go the underground church, etc etc - and they have these funky signs dotted about. They also filmed parts of the new Star Wars movies and bits of The Adventures of Pricilla, Queen of the Desert here.
