December 19, 2004Going underground
Broken by the Flinders, we left as fast as we could manage.... Which wasn't particularly fast as we got a blowout in the middle of nowhere. Being fairly practical types, the tyre was changed with a minimum of whinging and broken nails. Luckily for us, we were not too far away from our next port of call and were slowly getting used to 40+ degree weather. Cooper Pedy is a fab place - we bought new tyres from Bulls and checked into this hostel that gave us our very own underground lair for the night. We actually slept in a mine shaft - not very often you can say that huh? Cooper has loads of places underground as it gets so hot in the summer. Comments
