After having had a few days to settle down and making sure no jet lag was to surface, we got out the maps, checked out the route and hit the road.

Well - it wasn't as straight forward as that - we first off went for a bit of a walk on the beach, and then went shopping... you get the idea.
We did get off in the end though - at about 3ish or something like that - but the important thing was we had a plan.
Sydney - Ayres Rock - East Coast - Sydney
We wanted to be back in time for New Year as we have something special to do for then - but more about that nearer the time :oP
So by the time we finally got on the road, it was rush hour in Sydney. We spent a few hours getting out of the city and spent our first night camped out in Petersborough under the stars and planning the next day's agenda.
