July 30, 2004Wingham - Woolgoolga
Arriving in Wingham in the dark, we decided the ideal thing would be a nice cool beer. Luckily the pub in Wingham was also a Hotel offering cheap accomodation, so our eveing in town consisted of a take away from the pasta / piza / steak shop across the road, and a few beers while watching the big tv and chatting to a few of the locals. We made it into Woolgoolga with plenty of time to find a place to stay. Having spent the last few nights in hostels and pubs, the girls decided to upgrade to something with an en-suite, luckily for me they were pretty fab about my budget and agreed for me to pay the same as before with them making up the extra amounts - cheers girls! Waking up the next morning we decided to stay on in Woolgoolga for an extra night to see a bit more of this fab little town. Considering the size of the population, there was actually a surprising amount to see and do, including an indian temple. What with the lie-in, wandering about the town, stopping for coffees and eating amazing food, we just about made it to the bottle shop for beer and slumped infront of the tv for a night of loafing.
