July 18, 2004Leaving Adelaide
After the waiting, the towncar was finally ready to go - I packed my bag and off I set. As usual, it was a bit of a last minute faff about, as despite thinking about this trip for all the time I've been in Adelaide, I was still deeply unprepared for the start. Having gone out the night before, I had to wait till after 1pm before I could legally drive - then I had to find navigate my way around Adelaide back to the house to drop off the spare keys, which I'd forgotten to do the night before. After another false start, I was finally off and heading out into the unknown (or Flinders Ranges - the destination decided upon while having a few bevvies in the pub the night before) It was a frantic mad drive trying to get the Ks behind me to get the trip started.
