Manly

After a lot of procastinating, I finally made it out to Manly yesterday.

I had some cracking views of the opera house on the ferry on the way out there; 1, 2, 3.
It took only about 20 mins to get to Manly from the Harbour, and the weather was nice and hot - perfect for a spot of sunbathing. As per normal, the first thing I did was hit the shops and came away with a new bikini - perfect considering the location :o)

Manly was much nicer than Bondi - it was still a wee bit Brighton-esque, but there's nothing wrong with Brighton :o) I was just a bit surprised that it was all young folks with surfboards, I sort of expected it to be full of pensioners? Maybe I got the wrong impression, but if Manly was at home, it would be a grey vote stronghold :oP
Manly beach, Manly harbour I have no idea what it's like at night-time, but it seems pretty chilled out and quiet in the day.

It was a fab place to potter around. Quite new-agey, with tarot readers and palmists dotted about between the surf shops and chippys.

Check out the surfers: (I know this is the only reason you kept reading!)
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Then there was the eyecandy: one for the guys, and one for the girls - fairs fair after all :o)

And no, you aint getting any shots of me in my new bikini :o)

Thats enough pervy stalking on the beach for me for the day anyhow.

Food fettish for today: I'm now on the look out for proper chips too (pref covered in Mayonnaise) they just don't make them like home over here >;o( It's either potatoe wedges, french fries or oven chips.

On the plus side though, they DO make fantastic lasagne, with (wait for it) NO MUSHROOMS - yeah! *victory dances* some things are just better here... :o) I'm in a land that doesn't believe in including mushrooms in anything - pure bliss!

oooh - and have I already mentioned this country is set up for letfties?
All the doors etc all open on the left hand side - it's so strange (esp with me and my pathetic left wrist due to accident prone lifestlye). I have to do everything right handed and awkwardly. Now I know how a lefty must feel in the UK.. strange but true :o)
