You know how there are some things in your life that you've just got to do? I always wanted to travel the world and see what was out there, but the time was just never right.

At the start of 2003, I decided that the time would never be "just right" and I would be putting it off forever, so I made a decision to just go for it. I sold my home, got made redundant (a stroke of luck!) and sold all my possesions. Job done. No-one was ever so happy to be a hobo!

My first flight is booked and the rough plan is India / SEAsia / Oz. I have a year long working visa for Australia so will be away for at least 15 months. I figure I can work out the way home again while I'm away. After almost a year of planning, dreaming, and boring friends to tears with ideas for "the big trip," I'm finally leaving another UK winter behind to get on with the serious work of lolling about and getting a tan!
