January 29, 2004Ticket day
I've been here for only a few days, but the people have really made an impression on my with their friendliness and kindness. My train tickets arrived as promised this morning so tonight is my last night here in Mumbai. This time tomorrow I will be heading north to Delhi. After that ticket arrived, the next thing I wanted to sort out was my flight to Thailand. This morning I went to the travel office to enquire about flights. It turns out that you can not be issued with a one way ticket to South East Asia (I checked all the countries) from India. You must have either a return ticket or proof on onward flights... I opted for a fully refundable return flight to Calcutta. The price was better than that offered on the internet, so the travel shop must get good discounts. I have enjoyed my time here and although it hasn't been action packed, I think it was a good way to be introduced to India. I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Mumbai... Comments
