December 10, 2004D Day
8 months after booking her flight, the day had arrived for Dawn (my best mate) to get into Sydney. Typically I ended up being a little bit late getting there, but luckily for me she had a bit of a delay herself... ...about an hour long as customs had her hiking boots washed and tent pegs checked for mud. Doh! It was fab to see D again - she's looking taller (but reckons I've shrunk) and it took us all of about 5 minutes to get over the jumping up and down and hugging and back to our normal talking non stop for the next 4 weeks... D made sure she got onto the right time by sleeping to Aussie time on the plane, so fingers crossed she gets into the swing of it soon as we have a road trip to plan!
