July 27, 2004introducing Sue and Von
The morning after arriving back in Sydney with TC after the road trip north, it was time to meet the girls and plan the route of the second road trip with TC. Meeting Sue for the first time at the airport meant looking out for a lady with brown hair and a demin jacket. Luckily I was wearing distinctive enough clothes that we found each other pretty quick and settled down to wait for Von to get off her flight. Now, when I first got to Sydney in March I didn't really take to it. Infact, I was trying to book my ticket out of the city when I unexpectedly ended up with a job. Playing the tour guide to the girls though was amazing, and really made me aware just how much I've grown to love this city since I first arrived. After a day of walking (and picking up all my mail in Sydney - thanks for the cards and letters and pressies folks!) we celebrated my birthday with a few Coopers Pales and some Tooheys in the room and a wander around the cross for something to munch on. A fab birthday, and a lovely introduction to my new travel buddies. Posted by Mary on July 27, 2004 01:31 AM
