Did he really just do that?

Sunday was our last day in Sevilla and Iīd have to say it didnīt disappoint. Spent the day at the Davis Cup matches, which were nothing special. Roddick didnīt play too well and when he lost to Carlos Moya, it was over. The second match was an exhibition more or less. However, there were some bright spots...

1) We sat about 10-15 feet from the court, in a box with one of the players parents.

2) After Spain won the match and started celebrating, they started spraying champagne all over the place. They sprayed so much champagne that in a outdoor stadium that could hold 80,000 people, it absolutely reeked of alcohol. A player was chasing a teammate and accidentally sprayed the Prince and Princess of Spain with a little champagne. Somehow I doubt he was too happy.

3) I (not Warren though...haha) was able to sneak into a VIP reception between the 1st and 2nd matches. Upon entry, I realized it the Garden of Eden. Food, wine, and champagne as far as the eye can see. You can be damn sure I got my moneyīs worth. I think I had 12 sandwiches, 2 ice creams, 3 glasses red wine, 5 white wines and 17 champagnes in the 40 minutes I was in there. (give or take)

After all the tennis we decide to head out and wander the city some more. We just bounce from cafe to cafe getting some drinks and tapas. Ended up meeting my roommate from Madrid and a few other friends for a while and head to some bars. After a few hours of this, my friend and I headed to a club that we went to a few nights before. It was at this point things begin to get a little dicey. It was difficult to get around in Sevilla. Old city, lots of small windy streets that all look the same. Needless to say, we got lost and it took us a while to find the club.

After leaving the club, we headed for home. Warren and I were walking about 30 feet apart of so. He was behind me when all of a sudden I hear him scream my name. I turn around and see some lanky Spanish guy trying to kick him for no reason. I ran over and tried to calm everyone down and I turn to Warren and asked what the hell was going on. Partially laughing, he told me that the guy just started yelling at him in Spanish and then came up at him and started kicking. Then, all of a sudden, I feel something hit me in the face. Sure enough....the GUY KICKED ME!!

I was stunned. First, I was shocked he was able to get his leg that high. The man was obviously drunk and it was like 5:30am. Second, why the hell did he kick me? I had nothing to do with it. His friends came over and grabbed him and Warren and I took off. So, the whole walk home pretty much consisted of us laughing. I think the conversation went something like this...

Me: "Did that really just happen? He did kick me right?"
Warren: "Ha ha ha ha ha ha...."

Me: "Hey dickhead, just remember that I got kicked saving you!"
Warren: "Ha ha ha ha ha ha...."

Me: "But seroiusly, did he really kick me? I canīt believe it."
Warren: "Ha ha ha ha ha ha..."

Me: "Iīm shocked."
Warren: "But seriously, who kicks people?"

Unbelievable!

I'm sure at some point you did something that was deserving of a kick...however I am surprised that with your cat like reflexes you were unable to ward off a kick...a kick to the face no less....

I wasnīt even looking in his direction. I was too worried about protecting poor, vulnerable Warren.

Maybe you provoked him by slurring your words and stumbling around in the middle of the street like a spaced out monkey. I'm sure Warren fended off his attacks rather easily.

Obviously, judging by the previous comment, poor / vulnerable Warren took offense to the "poor, vulnerable Warren" comment
