Tiene Un Menu Del Dia!

Have the "Menu of the Day" is you visit Spain. Itīs a pretty good deal. It is offered during the day and usually available till about 5pm it seems. But, itīs worth it. Lunch is traditionally their main meal here, so you get your moneyīs worth. You get bread, a drink (beer or wine if you wish), the primero (first course) and a segundo (second course) and either coffee or dessert. Most places have about 5 choices for each course.

Today I had a beer, very big salad w/ tuna, and then beef kabobs with french fries and washed down with a cup of coffee. Total price = 7.80 Euroīs. That is about $9 or so...I think. I have managed to stop thinking in dollars and am trying not to go back right now. Itīs too confusing.

And mom, youīll be proud...I now eat tuna, I tried "polpo" (octopus) and have had a few other new foods that have slipped my mind for now. The polpo was wasnīt too bad either. Unfortunately, the coffee here and prevalence of it has sucked me in. Itīs pretty damn good. Just what I need, another bad habit...

It's closer to $10. I don't know, but that seems sort of expensive to me. I can get a pretty good meal here in the US for $10.

i didnīt say it was the best deal in the entire world...simply if you are here, itīs a good deal. and i think you might be hard pressed to get a two course meal, bread, dessert or coffee and a beer or wine for less than $10 in the US.
