catba

Made it to Catba relatively painlessly. Boring journey and usual Vietnamese roadkills but fewer holdups than normal. Arriving Catba surprised how green everything was, been a wet summer I’ve been told.
Good thing about this place is how easy it is for rooms. Walked of the bus and immediately offered a good price for a hotel on the seafront for a hotel that didn’t even exist on my last visit, no complaints there. But went downhill from there, told i now look fat, i demanded a recount but told everyone agreed. Then tried to blame it on the moneybelt ( a new samsonite one, don’t buy samsonite moneybelts, they make you fat and are rubbish) , in the end accepted the fact they are just skinny and middle age spread/need the extra weight for hiking.
But Catba still lovely, things have changed but nothing drastic and at leazt things now stay open late, hence why I am writing at 4.50 in the morning whereas previously everyone went to bed at 10.00pm, the bad influence of foreign tourists !.
At least the weather been great, very hot and sunny and spent most of the last two days in the sea. Downside is now beetroot colour so won’t be in the sea today hence writing at 4.50 in the morning.
Also seems everyone been on an intensive breeding programme (not guilty) so a fair few more children since my last visit. In fairness the babies do put in a full 12 hour meet and greet shift so pay their way. We should bring in the same in the UK. Just call it a scholarship and then you can have babies /children working for free, Cameron would love that. Anyway done my share of childrens parties tonight so time to sleep.
