First Day on the Road
Monday, October 2nd, 2006We didn’t think everything would fit in the beetle. And, well… we were kind of right. But in the end, everything important fit. Thank God. We sent a couple of packages to Tulsa, we left some stuff on the street, we donated three suitcases full of clothes and three boxes full of crap, we sold everything bigger than a breadbox, and the rest is sitting in the beetle as we write.
We’re in San Luis Opisbo at the moment — our first full day on the road. We’re settling into a life without timetables and trying not to stress about the little things. We’ve already seen two deer, many steers, black angus beef cows, and, to our surprise, a few zebras. No joke.
Other than that, there’s not much more to report. If you want to see more pictures from our first day, just click on the picture to the right. Flickr, baby. Flickr.
