Washington D.C.

Life keeps changing. Tangible plans are present one day, and the next they are shaken up by unpredictable variables. I’ve become very used to this unstable set of circumstances, and although it’s cliché to say it is apparent that as one door closes another opens.

Everything fell apart with the cruise line, but it has hardly fazed me. There are a few bids on my house right now, and it looks like I may be able to start my RTW trip sooner than imagined. However, this time around I’m not making any plans until the final paperwork is in hand. In the interim, I’ve felt it’s best to spend as much time exploring my own country as possible. Last week I took a short trip down to Washington DC to work on some music with my friend Pravin.

Most of the week was spent working on music and preparing for an upcoming concert we are scheduled to play in Philadelphia this weekend, but I was free to wander the city by day when he was working at his radio station. Unfortunately, the weather hovered around freezing all week and my main sanctuary from the biting cold was to run for shelter between the many Smithsonian Institute’s free museums.

There weren’t many great stories to bring back from the trip, but I did take a few great artistic photos and a panorama to share with you.

Oh yeah, while I was hanging out at the radio station I managed to get the Raider’s of the Lost Arc theme music played on a broadcast to Africa and Asia. So hopefully somebody on their adventures in a far off land will have the perfect accompanying soundtrack.
