another year another beer 2006

The close of a year always makes me think and take stock. 2005 has been a really good year for me.

This was the year I decided I wanted to make Australia my home. I found sponsorship with a company I enjoy working for. I've made good friends this year, bought a motorbike (and survived a crash - ooh update on that: the police rang me and said the car that hit me is registered to a chap who has been dead for 7 years and the licence number of the guy who was driving doesn't exist. - oh well the zeal is back on the road and I learned a valuable lesson. Get fully comp insurance and NEVER expect anyone around you to actually look before changing lanes) adopted the world's cutest cat, travelled to the GP, made it through (almost) the whole year without a cigarette (I figure 364 and a half days is pretty good), and generally had a pretty fabulous time!

New Years Eve was going to be a fairly low key affair. We headed over to Hannah's flat which has a view of the city sky line from the balcony. Much alcohol was consumed, and general sillyness prevailed. The photos are below, and in the usual blog style - only the most embarrasing and ridiculous photos have made it to the entry ;oP

The fireworks over the harbour bridge were just as fantastic as last years display - enjoy!

A spectacular start to the New Year. I hope you all have an amazing 2006!
