Call me cynical but...

George Bush is a liar. As I write this, it´s Sunday, and Iraqis are voting with polls closing shortly. Now, reports are already out that 72% of Iraqis voted and it has "exceeded expectations." We have no control over that country, bombs go off everywhere, but now I am supposed to believe that we know exactly the number of people that voted today, while the process is still going on? It´s propaganda.

On Fox News this morning, one of their correspondents had this to say..."Only 22 people were killed in Iraq today..."

It´s sad what passses for success these days. Within an hour of him saying that, a few more bombs went off and the number dead is unsure.

This administration has lied so often and so heinously, I can´t believe anyone believes one word they say anymore. I swear to God, if Bush told me the sky was blue I´d call for an investigation.

10 euro´s says that the "72%" figure came from the Pentagon. I can imagine this conversation...

Rumsfeld - "Hmm...how many people should we say voted today? I got it. We´ll just take the total number of civilians killed today, multiply it by two and there´s our answer."

An aide - "Uh, Mr. Secretary...there´s a problem. Only 27 civilians have been killed today."

Rumsfeld - "Give me 15 minutes!"

Here´s some leisure reading for you-

Isn´t it telling that people in Brazil are this upset?
