December 15, 2005Christmas comes early
Last night we had a pleasant surprise. Wang Dan, Qiao Ping and Er Zheng came to visit, only problem was - we were out teaching. Nevermind, our door was open and they managed to get me on my mobile to let me know they were inside my home watching TV. I figured as they were already there, they may as well make themselves at home and told them to make sure Er Zheng had a beer. My lesson ended and I returned home to find them sprawled out on our bean bags having a dandy time. The reason for their visit was they had Christmas presents for us. No matter how much I said they weren't necessary or we'll open them on December 25 we had to open them last night. Any guesses on what we received?? Well I take it you read further to find out, we received thermal underwear. A rather unconventional gift you might think, but possibly the most practical gift I have ever received in China and one I am eternally greatful for. Even if Trev isn't quite the Superman he might want to be. Comments
