May 06, 2004Job Hunting
May was a month we spent mostly in and around Qingtian. The job hunt is underway, we want to stay in China for another 6 months so we are looking for another job. Doing business with the Chinese is like slitting your wrists. They don't like to say "no" so instead you are forever left in a state of wonderment. Do they understand what I'm saying? That sounds too good to be true - will I hear back from them or will it be a case of never to be heard from again. This has happened to us from an Aussie bloke so it's not just the Chinese. When I get there will it all be a feed of crock? Anyway after weeks of sending off emails and follow up phone calls we are still going to wait and see. But needless to say we are thrilled there is only about 5 weeks of teaching to go and then the arrival of Sumo. Comments
