March 08, 2004International Women's Day
China has a Father's Day, but no Mother's Day as such. Instead they have "Women's Day" this year on the 8th March. Women are eagerly practicing aerobics in anticipation for such an event. What relevance this has to the day we are yet to find out. We do know however that all the women school teachers will receive a present. Last year (suitably), Trev says, they were given a bag of washing powder each. Most of the women teachers did not know why, but appreciated the gesture. We think the men must have been having a rolling good laugh at their expense. Comments
