Pedal Pains
How good pain can be. 🙂 I’m sitting here writing because it takes less muscles than anything else I can think of. I am now in Christchurch with a nice German traveling buddy I met in Kaikoura. Today we went mountain-biking in the Port Hills close to town. It exceeded what my wimpy legs have called “mountain-biking” in the past. Straight up the hill on a gravel path, stopping to suck air every 30 rotations; traveling across high Summit Road with great city and sea views; then heading down a mountain bike trail that was first called “moderate,” soon marked with sneering black diamonds. WAY above my nerves and skills, but fun to watch the 10-year-olds go tearing by on dirtbikes. Another reason I don’t know if I can be a mother! :O
