Zurich, Switzerland

A huge international expensive city, with shopping, and more shopping.

There really is not too much here for backpakers. There is a lift of two I think, but its more for tourists than hiking as the mountains aren’t nearly as large.

Its a really nice looking city with good transit. The trams are old but go everywhere and there are lots of buses (day pass on the transit costs 10CHF). A nice lake to stroll by, a few good museums I never saw and lots of stores to stroll around in. There are some really expensive stores. Found a great supermarket, starts with M, that serves great hot food. Rode around transit for a while trying to find a good vantage point of the city, but never found one. This is slightly blured, only one night there… but must keep moving.
