JJ Disco

We have been to this disco twice in less than a week. I must say I'm not normally a fan of places like this but with Liam (the loud larrikin Brit, who possible should be an Aussie sailor) the place is a lot of fun. While we sit around and have a beer, then a dance, Liam is non stop dancing/ripping the piss out of anyone and everyone. Not only can he seem down right nuts he is always pulling chicks.

The first night there was last Friday, Helen a Chinese primary school teacher took Liam there and we tagged along. We'd been to a bar before so were already partially charged. Trev and Liam were off doing whatever they do best, it seems they had been invited upstairs in to a private karaoke room. Paul, Helen and I remained downstairs unaware of their location. I was entertaining Helen - have I mentioned Liam and her were on a date, Trev, Paul and I crashed the date. The boys were gone for more than hour. Helen was becoming a little irritated - if not bored even with my attempts of dancing, until Paul came to the rescue and scooted her around the dance floor.

The boys returned and Liam just smoothed his way in. No apologies for where they'd been, just that they'd had a great time up there ganbei - ing hot beer.

Our second time there was Tuesday night. Andy (Liam's mate) had arrived in Zhaoqing for a visit. This time it was just the 5 of us who went out - no Chinese help. Again we'd had a few starters but this was nothing compared to Liam and Andy's antics. These two guys were behaving like they'd been locked on a ship at sea for a couple of months. They were clowning around, dancing together, on stage, off the stage it didn't really matter. At one stage they were even pole dancing.

Being boring and old, I called it quits at 11.30. I am still not keen on risking the slightest hangover with kindy kids. Andy and Liam came home some time after 3.00 with a story of a missing phone and being thrown out. The other patrons were not amused they'd been thrown out of the disco and left with them. Only for the security guys to change their decision and allow them back in.
