Hammocks
Aren’t as hard as all that, I quite happily spent a few hours in one on the most secluded beach I’ve ever been on today. The sun was so bright and hot that for a moment I thought I had my head next to a lightbulb.
Last night Lauren and I made friends with a bar-owner from Billericay. He lives out here and seems to know his way around so this can only be a good thing. He told us about the Muay Thai boxing that’s on in a few nights and Lauren and I are definately going to check it out, from what we hear, it’s pretty vicious.
Even better, the bar owner- Dave – told us of a gym next to the Muay Thai arena where you can go and learn the be a super-ninja, so that’s another thing were going to get in to on our 6 week stay on Ko Tao.
The barmaid at the same bar, a girl from Kent called Ellisia (sp!) is having a birthday BBQ on sunday which Lauren and I are invited to, sounds fun and they have offered their bar and bbq to us for my birthday too which was mighty kind of them.
Nothing more to report other than lazing in a hammock cures hangovers like nothing else in the whole wide world.
