Always the way
Just yesterday I was filled with praise for Ko Tao, ‘here for 6 months!’ I chirrped, ‘diving, thats for me!’ I gleamed.
It’s been pouring down all day, theres relatively little to do on an island who’s main attraction (other than diving) is sitting on a beach. Luckily, we have cable in our room and were privy to the Faye Dunnaway classic Sillhouette. It’s as bad as it sounds, and just to save you a few painful hours, the sheriff did it.
Odd thing about these terrible movies though, is that they always remind me of Stephen King books. I mean as a movie it sucks, but as a book it would probably work very well on the ‘not guna win a nobel prize but guna score me big bucks’ plane. Argh! so little to do that I’ve dwelled on Faye Dunnaway for over three hours.
I was going to change the subject by using a moped riding anecdote but, even though there is no danger at any point and climaxes in a really rather splendid view overlooking an isolated beach, I know it will only upset my mum to hear I’ve been riding about on mopeds in foreign countries.
Really mum, I haven’t.
