Bangkok, hangovers and changes of plan
So back in ole’ Bangkok once more with the exception that in it’s utilisation as a transport hub for us has failed itself this time. It seems that we cannot get to the Perinthian Islands without a ludicrous amount of time spent travelling. As in we fly to Butterworth, on the west coast of Malaysia, then overland by bus to the the east coast, then boat to the islands. This will take like 3 days all in all so we’re sadly having to skip that. This does, however, mean that we get to go down to Koh Phi Phi for a few weeks which I’m really excited about. A quick search of facebook groups brings up reems and reems of groups dedicated to people whining that they had to leave the little island and they now regret it. Lauren has visited before and she loved it so I am really really excited.
Last night we went out to the clubs along Kao San Road, Lauren wasn’t drinking cos she felt a little dicky, but we bumped into some people that were on the bus from Siam Reap to Bangkok and so I may or may not have shared a few buckets with them. Today I’m certainly in no position to operate heavy machinery or look after small children, although Lauren is awesome at looking after me.
My mood has noticeably lifted now that I’m away from my hell of a time in Cambodia.Even though I’m hanging to heck, I cannot wait to spend 15 hours on a bus to go down to PHi Phi, paradise island.
