Washington DC
After Fayetteville we headed to Washington DC. It has loads of museums and government buildings including the White House. Here is a picture of me outside the White House (Not actually outside the front door but as close as I could get)
Here is a closer picture of it that I took through the railings.
Nearly every place that we visited in Washington we had to take off our belts and all everything in our pockets and walk through a metal detector. They even made you take a sip out of any bottles of drink you had to prove it was not some type of explosive. It got a bit tideous after the first couple of times.
We visited the Washington Monument while we were there. Here are a few pictures from the top.
We probably should have taken more photos since we were in the nations capital but we didn’t so that is that.
