10. The smallest, yet most extensive collection of the world’s finest scenery, climate, and travelers
TOP TEN CHALLENGES IN NEW ZEALAND. ..
1. 80’s music, everywhere, all the time
2. The need to think ambidexterously to navigate roadways, sidewalks, turn on hot water, and open the refrigerator
3. Learning how to sleep in a room with 6 strangers, and cook in a kitchen with 20
4. Feeling “satisfied” after yet another economic meal of pasta or rice
5. Driving the speed limit
6. Swallowing my pride panting on a Kiwi trail that shoots up a mountain, no switchbacks, and wears a label of “easy” or “moderate”
7. Stomaching food adopted from the British. I’ve decided to give fish ‘n’ chips and “meat pies” a wide berth from now on.
