The clouds are gone…
You could hear the birds chirping. I was walking down the street, with the sky a light blue, and a purple haze over the horizon. No sun yet. The street was quieter than usual, but not really all that deserted. A few were out, smoking, walking, driving, as there always is. Its 5am and I was heading home after a good night out.
The weather has been really nice recently. After the long cloudy week, it felt nice to be out in the sun.
Friday I chilled out with my housemates. They sit around and drink beer watching tv. Reality tv show, big brother, is the program of choice. The strong opinionated german (quasi landlord) started to get anoying, i alway laughed at him because his opinions were out there sometimes, now it just started to get annoying.
Sat my polish friend says she going to a house party. Disappointed, but optimistic, I head for the ISH hostel bar. I know the frenchies are leaving soon. It turns out its Jennifers birthday turning 19, and the other two main ones I know, Lionel and Gielle are leaving in the next few days. Its a party bash. They may be young, but you never really notice it. Most people in this hostel are younger. There was cake, laughter, pool, and a lot of french. In fact, just about only french. Try that for learning it.
After an excrusiating time trying to figure out where to go, we head down to picadilly, where the club will be a surprise. We end up at Tiger Tiger. For the first time i see people not get in because they didn’t bring girls, i thought it may have been a rumour. On that note, don’t ever go to cheers, i changed my opinion. Cover was 10 pounds at Tiger Tiger, but i don’t mind it here, i want to party. Drinks weren’t overly expensive, so it was good. Inside was packed, plenty of levels, looks like no firecode regulations, though i’m sure there are some. The girls rip it up all night, and most of the guys have mysteriously disappeared. The music here is nice, i recognized several 90s songs, they play a mix of songs from all recent eras. Its neat. We close the club.
Afterwards i witnessed my first try random act of violence. Well maybe second or third, but i can’t remember or didn’t see the other ones well. A young man throws the hot dog guys supplies all over and then runs away throwing bottles at him. I was in the bottles deflected direction and wasn’t paying that much attention. One smashed on the ground a few feet away and the other just bounced around.
After a while, people started craving food. I heeded the advice of a 40ish year old guy at the canadian bar, and avoided the hot dogs. I know i will eat them later anyway. After they had tearful goodbyes, they were gone.
The bus was packed, even more that usual. And as I rode the bus, it grew lighter, until i got off and the sky was bright. Now thats a good evening. I can’t wait until side trips to wherever. Well, thats all for now folks.
