Munich, Germany
Munich, AKA Munchen. Munchen. much, munch, much… mmm, should be more like gulpen. Beeeeer.
Never drank so much beer in my life.
I tried the newTours, that are free but they expect a tip. It was a really good tour, it seemed like he was a little over acting, but that wore off quickly. It was funny, the only tour guide I’ve seen to try and pull our leg. He said: “afterwards, I’ll give you a 20 percent off cupon to my fathers pursian rug store and we can all go in there are browse…” He says he gets a lot of different reactions, including people who actually want to go. We went and stared into the museum windows too. I remember well dodgers alley, and counting the number of lamborginis, porches and spiders on the expensive shopping street. And the great outdoor beer gardens, that need to have public picnic tables and walnut trees. It was a great tour, probably should have tipped him more, but tipped the average for each in the group.
Stadt museum – pupets, musical instruments, photography, furniture, and more. Lots of it was closed, I was hoping to see the exhibit on the easterbunny.
In the evening I went on a beer tour. We went to a few of the beerhalls, he explained how it was made, we tasted the barley? and roasted differences. I had lots of beer on the tours, and of course had have a huge stein at the HofbrÀuhaus. The 1L was the most common, but at some places they go up to 4L steins. Tip: don’t hold it by the handle.
Tried a lot of different types at other stops, it must tastemuch better fresh.
Saw the technology museum, aka deutches museum, and it was great! I spent a couple of hours in the first tow rooms covering mining, oil and natural gas technologies, then didn’t have much time for the rest. I made it quickly up the floors to stop at nuclear technologies, solar techs, walking though aviation, and now I remember how jet engines work, and more and eventually got kicked out because it was closing. It was so neat, you could have spent your entire week in there. It had original planes, full scale reproductions of everything, including all equipment in mineshafts.
