January 02, 20042004!!
Hello my friends! Happy 2004 to you all. I hope there are a lot of dreams that come true for everyone this year. My new years? I bet thats why a lot of people are here right now... My new years was spent watching HBO in my hotel with some bolivian girl. Nothing dirty, she was working at the hotel and I was watching in the lobby. Sad eh? No it wasnt. :) New years is a time for friends and family, I am glad to hear stories of you all having a blast, but its hard to get excited down here. There were a TON of parties here though, i wandered the streets for a while to see if i could find a group of people i could pretend i was friends with... but it didnt happen. No worries though, and i dont want anyone feeling bad for me. Every day i am down here is spectacular. EXCEPT for new years and christmas day. :) Whats happened since? I am preparing to goto a little mountian village of Samaipata. Its right near a national park, and its supposed to be really pretty. I also found 30,000 canadians. Yup, hereīs how it happened. After commenting to an american i met at my hotel that i hadnīt seen a lot of my countrymen here, he balked. "Come with me!" Peter, the american from near my relatives in clarks summit PA, USA, took me to an area of town that menonities come to for shopping. NEAT! i must have met 10 canadian farmers in 20 min. As it turns out there are a lot of them down here. Menoninites love to seek out opportinity. After my return from Samaipata, peter and i are going to drive to some northern plantations to check out a new plot of land. Sweet! I love farms. I will send pics when i get to Samaipata! Agian, all the best from the south!! sp Comments
