Cold Rain, and Canadians named Jarrod

So today was going to be the big day for the Tierre del Fuego national park hike, but it was raining. Its cold, and wet. Guess what I did?

Heres a good Canadian kid. Jarrod Leitner. Who? WHO? read on...

Not much really, had a GREAT bowl of crab chowder. NICE.

Last night was great. First this amazing sunset lasted for hours. I LOVE long sunsets. Thats something Canada (in the summer) and southern argentina have in common. Go canada.

More pictures of sunsets at the end of the world

Well anyways, after I marveled at the sunset till i got cold (someone once told me that maybe I should try to REALLY enjoy a sunset while listining to classical music...) I went back to the hostal and met some of my roommates.

After doing the rounds, the last person i met was a very cool canadian from BC. I love canadians from BC... and people from ontario who have abandond ontario for BC. Sometimes (usually when talking about totatally useless things) they are SO right on...

We had great laughs about ontario vs bc, and as he prepared to do what people in bc do so well, he told me about his experiences in toronto.

His trip down here sounds like its been a total blast. See the pictures? those are of his argentinian girlfriend that he lived with in cordoba for 3 weeks. Met her the week before. How cool!

He also highly recommends Egypt, and says that backpacking through the middle east was amazing, but that argentina is better.

Why am I telling you all this? Why do I think you will care? Well this Jarrod, was the Jarrod from the Canadian reality tv show, Drifters, on OLN. He was the angry bitter Jarrod! Crazy eh? Did anyone even watch that show? tell me you know what i am talking about...

Well, i was so pleased when he told me, I got to ask him all kinds of questions about behind the scene reality tv stuff. He was in a talkative mood, so i got lots. what a blast...

A lot of the stuff was... sort of personal, and I wouldnt want to reveal all his secrets, but here are the highlights.

- the producers repeatidly asked them to do stuff over, or act in a different way. (reality?)
- his relationship with the girl on the show, was totaly exagerated by both of them to secure a spot on the show.
- after, he still hands out with people on the other team!

there is a lot more too, perhaps i will email him and ask if i can share it....

Well, he was a cool guy, trying to get to antarctica too. Maybe it will happen one day....

I bet his "girlfriend" will love finding her naked pictures all over the internet...I could say more, but let's keep this family friendly! I don't remember that show though.

i guess the only thing to do is come home, go to school, create some incredible business idea that makes you a multi-zillionaire and then fly your private jet to antarctica... just a suggestion :)
