July 24, 2005Working up a thirst
One of the joys of live music is RSL clubs. They are kind of a cross between a British Legion and a working man's club. The beer is cheap, the halls big, and the atmosphere always fun. One of the aussie bands I have taken to recently is Thirsty Merc - no idea if you have them at home or not, but went to see them the other night. My camera batteries died pretty much as soon as they came on stage (typical) so there are no pictures. I had fun though, and realised the other day that I seem to be going to see live bands or shows pretty much every month on balance. I seem much more cultural since moving down under. Maybe it's because there is always cheap beer on offer? hmmmm I wonder :oD PS: HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAWN!!!!! Comments
