Christmas in Australia
We flew into Sydney last night and are very much enjoying a warm Christmas here. I definitely miss spending Christmas with the rest of my family but rather than wishing we were there, I wish you were all here to celebrate Christmas aussie-style, with a barbeque on the beach. Today we walked around the beautiful city of Sydney and saw the botanic gardens, the opera house, the harbour bridge, and several cool neighborhoods. Our haven today was Chinatown where almost everything was open and food options were plenty. We ate Vietnamese for lunch today, found a nice Thai restauraunt for Christmas dinner and an ice cream place for our desert. Hey, we may even find a pub at which to have some post-dinner drinks, thanks to such a religiously diverse city:)

Hi Paula and Dan, well it’s cold and Christmas here on LI and the normal crew is heading here for the annual filet dinner etc. We will all enjoy the food and fireplace today; wish you were here with us too. Sounds like you are having a great trip so far; be safe and enjoy the rest. XXOO Dick

Hey guys — just wanted to wish you a merry xmas. Madeleine wrote her first letter to Santa and not only got a response, she got everything on her wish list (which consisted of ‘a dress-up head’, a present for Julian, a princess castle clock, and another present for Julian).

Merry Christmas ! It’s almost 10:00 PM here – the crowds have left, the filet was devoured and there’s a bit of pumpkin pie and cookies left over. Keep up the blog – it’s great to get this. Love, Ma xoxoxoxoxox

Hey guys!
Merry Christmas! Christmas aussie style definitely sounds good. What I would give to be on a sunny beach right now!
