Sail Away…
I’m back on solid ground…kind of.
Things are still swaying, though not terribly. When I was washing my hair in the shower, I closed my eyes to get the soap out, and started leaning to and fro. I could almost see a teeter-totter in my mind’s eye. With my eyes open I only sway occasionally. 😉
2 days and 2 nights on a boat and I feel like I’ve been gone a year. It’s strange how long and full the time on the boat was. Granted, we were waking up at about 5:30am, when the sun rose, and staying up late, so we jammed packed the hours full of stuff…but it still seems longer.
There were 23 passengers and 4 crew on our beautiful 82ft ship, and we all agreed we were lucky, because everyone generally got along. (It’s awful close quarters for disagreements!) The groups were interchangeable and everyone chatted with each other over the 2 days.
We went snorkeling, hiking, swimming, were visited from passengers from another of the fleet’s boats, played drinking games, ate great food and generally had a good time.
I’ve got to get my pictures in order and get them up, because you seriously won’t believe some of them, especially the shots of Whithaven beach which has sand made up of more then 98% silica, making it pure white and able to polish jewlery!
I’ll have to admit to my snorkeling dorky-ness too….but not quite yet.
Tune in next time and get the full story….
